IPA 2nd Photogenic Science Competition

The IPA photography competition is back!

The new edition of the IPA “Photogenic Science” has arrived for all its early stage career members. Submit your photos illustrating PDT- or PDD-related research to enter the competition.

The submissions are now open. Please submit by July 5, 2023 via email - ipasecretary@internationalphotodynamic.com

The contest is open to early career investigators (e.g. postdocs, clinical fellows/residents, postgraduates, undergraduates).

Submit your images in one of three categories:

  • 1. Basic science

  • 2. Pre-clinical

  • 3. Clinical

You may submit an image in each category but only one image per category. To submit, please fill the word document that you can download here.

In addition, please also attach a copy of your picture(s) to the email with the following resolution and size:

  • 72 dpi, 1200 to1800 pixels on the long edge,

  • Name each file with your name_photo title_category (AnneLaure_Bulin_Icecream_Preclinical)

Prizes

The winners will be announced at the gala dinner of the next IPA World Congress to be held in Tampere, Finland from July 10th to July 15th 2023.

Copyright

All submitters warrant that they own the work submitted and that they have the exclusive copyright. The IPA recognizes that the photographer retains full ownership of the image copyright.

Usage

Submitters warrant that their photographs may be reproduced for the purpose of marketing and promoting the IPA including catalogues, posters, postcards, publications, and on the Internet. Such use is granted for no more than two years after the announcement of the works selected in this competition. Such use is granted without any payment to the photographer or featured models.Photographers will receive credit with each use, and allow the IPA to sublicense their photographs to the press for reproduction in connection with the IPA competitions and awards. The IPA reserves the right to reject and remove any entry that contains defamatory, racist, obscene or pornographic content, or that may be considered a criminal offence or violate any law.
